In our Project Restore, we give children at risk and their families the tools they need to overcome obstacles and live fruitful and productive lives. Working together with our local partners, we empower, encourage and help provide opportunities for a better future for these children!
Minnie* is 4 years old. Her medical condition makes it impossible for her to sit up unassisted. After our staff learned about Minnie from a therapist with another organization, they visited her with a therapeutic chair to try out. They found Minnie just lying on the floor and crying. The therapist comforted Minnie and our staff adjusted the chair, so it fit her perfectly.
Shortly after Minnie was placed in the chair, she stopped crying. Soon she was smiling. Our staff affixed a table to the chair, and Minnie was able to sit on her own and play with toys comfortably. Adaptive equipment can make a big difference in a child’s life!
