Books by Afghans for Afghans

At a recent book exhibition, Tolo TV was looking for a publisher whose books were "pure Afghan", produced by Afghans, for Afghans and published inside Afghanistan. They featured Operation Mercy's book, Amazing World of Animals. This book highlights the amazing and often unknown wonders of the animal kingdom. The reader learns about the parrot, dolphin, llama, zebra and much more – over 50 animals in total.

In 2012, we received official approval as Rahmat Publications from the Ministry of Information and Culture. We are now an Afghan-owned cultural foundation with permission to publish "Good Books" for Afghanistan under the auspices of Operation Mercy Afghanistan.

Since 2005, we have printed 106,500 Good Books! We frequently hear from bookshops, printers, educational institutions and government officials that we supply 'The best books in Afghanistan!'

Comments from government officials have been encouraging: - "What you are doing is meeting a great need for the community especially for the young generation. On behalf of the Afghan government, we deeply appreciate it." (Publications Director, Intelligence Service) - "Your organization is not only worthy to have permission from the ministry, but I personal feel responsible to support you and encourage you". (Director of Publications, Ministry of Information and Culture ministry, Mr. Nabi Paktin, a well-known Afghan journalist and government official)
