In the south of Kyrgyzstan, Operation Mercy’s partner, CDI has an existing Home Efficiency project, which includes building efficient wood/coal burning stoves and training in home-heating efficiency and insulation techniques. In an extension of this project, CDI has begun training residents in the process of constructing simple solar heating units built from locally available materials.
